Simmons Mattress Company complaint
I too have found that the Simmons Beautyrest is the WORST mattress I have ever purchased! Within days of it's delivery, I too found impressions in the mattress. I called the store (City Mattress in Rochester, NY)and they said that it would take a few weeks to "break in" the mattress. It's now been a year, and I called the warrentee officer. He too stated that impressions of 1.5 inches was not a defect and could not be replaced by warrentee. I also paid over $1500.00 for this privalegde! I am only 145 pounds and sleep alone. Tell me, how is it possible that I could cause such a major defect? I am considering a sleep number bed. I will NEVER buy Simmons again.

I purchased a Beautyrest, and paid over $1100. I first got a pillow-top and it hurt my hips so I returned it for one without the top as the salesperson said it was "too soft". I got the Atkins Plush Firm model and same results.

I waited awhile as I read that you need to "break-in" the bed. That didn't help, it continued to hurt my hips. I had to sleep in a cheap bed to get any rest. After awhile, I said "enuf" and the went back to the company who told me the bed would have to be "defective" to replace. They sent out a tech who confirmed that it WAS "defective".

Yesterday they brought a brand-new set, I slept on it last night and SAME results...my hip hurts after awakening. I called Simmons who will do NOTHING to help me. I told them I didn't want my money back, just a bed I can sleep on.

I will NEVER purchase a Simmons again for as long as I live. All I can do is warn prospective buyers to beware of any Simmons product. If you are not satisfied, they will do nothing to make up for it.

I am an unhappy Simmons customer. They replaced 2 mattresses for us in 5 months, and now the third mattress is failing. I have spent over $3100. I would NEVER, NEVER buy Simmons again.

I purchased a 1499 queen set four years ago made by simmons beautyrest, It looks and feels as good as the day I bought it. Next time you buy anything don't imagine how you think a product should do or how it should react based or your personal ideas.

I sold mattresses for the past 10 years including the Simmons Beautyrest. It is true that body impressions of l l/2" or less are considered standard for the industry. This standard is set by all mattress manufacturers-it's not just the Simmons Beautyrest. You could have bought a Serta or any other brand name and you would have the same thing. If a person lays in the exact spot every night something has to give a little. It is not a major defect as you have stated. You can buy a mattress topper to lay on top of it and replace it periodically. The integrity of your mattress has not failed. It is still giving you the expected support. If the Sleep Number bed has a pillow top on top of the chambers it will get impressions on it too.
